Cantabrians just love their greens!
Originally launched in 2007 as the Vegetarian Expo, this inspiring annual food and lifestyle event has continued to demonstrate growth and popularity for the past ten years.
While every Expo in Christchurch has been run solely by volunteers under the direction of the Christchurch Vegetarian Centre and now the Christchurch Vegan Society, they pride themselves in offering events of a very professional standard.
Attendance has continued to increase every year, attracting a diverse cross section of the community. This includes those who are curious to learn more about cruelty-free alternatives to meat, eggs and dairy products, as well as vegetarians, vegans and allergy sufferers.
Due to the ever-expanding acceptance of veganism in New Zealand, it was decided to re-position the Vegetarian Expo to exclusively promote veganism.
2017 marked the first-ever Vegan Expo in Christchurch and it was so popular that it exceeded all expectations and made 2018 expo an event that was not to be missed!

“The Christchurch Vegan Expo was absolutely amazing! Thousands of people attended, the biggest event of it’s kind in NZ to date. 11 of us from Dunedin went up, and it was definitely worthwhile.”
