Helpful FAQs
By train: Wellington to Paraparaumu railway station. Trains leave Wellington at 14 and 44 minutes past each hour on a Sunday. By bus: There is no direct bus service to the museum however a one-way taxi from Paraparaumu station is approx. $10.
While we would love that, unfortunately we have been advised that due to the nature of the venue and health and safety regulations, animals of all types are not permitted on site. Sorry.
Yes definitely but the price is $8. Online tickets are $6.50. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card. If cash, we’d appreciate the exact amount rather than large notes.
Yes. There are machines onsite but expect waiting in line if you wish to withdrawal cash so we recommend bringing cash. Also, some stallholders will only accept cash.
There is plenty of parking but for a gold coin donation with every cent going towards helping the rescued animals at the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary.
Yes. We have a variety of roles and tasks needing help so please contact us if you would like to help out.
No. All talks and cooking demonstrations are on a basis of a first come, first served so we recommend arriving 10 minutes before a scheduled time.
